History
Established by Roger Price, the Applied Breathing Centres organisation started on Queensland's Sunshine Coast towards the end of 1999. It has rapidly expanded to cover most of the major centres in Australia, and is currently in the process of establishing a College for the training of Respiratory Therapists.

There are two main divisions within the organisation. The first is conducting Breathing Training Programs for clients who are suffering from a variety of chronic illnesses, and the second is the recruiting and training of new Breathing Therapists.

Roger Price is one of only five Practitioner Trainers, worldwide, who have been approved by the Buteyko Institute to train new Practitioners. He has had 50 years experience as a pharmacist, physiologist and Natural Health Practitioner, and many years as a lecturer and presenter on the local and international health circuits.

Roger has recently introduced the CapnoTrainer into the program.  This is a device that accurately measures the amount of CO2 left in the lungs after exhalation and gives a far clearer picture of breathing efficiency than was previously available.

He brings his own brand of humour and motivation to his courses and enjoys a high success rate. He has also developed a specialised dental and orthodontic program to address the major issue of mouth-breathing, which results in crowded-mouth, crooked teeth and distortion of facial features. It was this program that earned him membership of the prestigious International Association for Orthodontics.

Please select the Conditions tab from the menu on the left of the screen and read about the application of the Buteyko Technique in the management of multiple chronic ailments, as well as how correct breathing can keep you from becoming ill, and also enhance your sporting performance.
